Time at Home.......
Life at home has been incredibly hectic over the last few months, with both my husband and I getting used to job changes, both working 5 days a week and being parents to two littlies it gets rather stressful and tiring, but i wouldn't change it for the world!
The part about it being so busy is that i am finding myself taking time out each night (on purpose) to do a bit of craft work, or read a book or just chill out, and i am loving it.

I have had an old cupboard in the shed (from school days) that i had really good intentions of revamping and using at some stage. Well after 3 moves and something like 5 years i finally got to it the other day, and it is now a proud part of my scrapping space.
I have set up a couple of old cupboards in our room and it is turning out to be a great little retreat for me, and i am finally getting some scrapping done in my own time :)

Here are some of the projects and scrap pages that i have completed in my new little scrappy corner.

These wall hangings were such a find, and i cannot wait until i get them on the wall of the girls rooms :)

I completed Sandra Wallace's challenge using our goody bag from the retreat, but i did not get it finished on time, but i was pretty happy with the end result and just love the photo booth photo. :)

Escape 2 Create - 2013

So i know it has now been a couple of months, but i have just caught up from the Annual Escape 2 Create Retreat at North Shields.
This was my second retreat that i have attended. I loved every second, and am so appreciative of the organizers (Amanda Hall & Meredith Treloar), the cooks, the masseuse and beautician, and especially all of the lovely girls on Table 8. We had such a fantastic time, and i have brought home lots of inspiration and fun memories of the weekend.

Here are the pages i managed to create at the retreat. After not having scrapped in months leading up to the retreat i was pleased with the end result.
I was quite happy with my Princess page - i used plain white card stock and added texture paste in random areas, in the shape of the honeycomb, then i painted the texture paste with one of my sprays. The birdcage is also done with texture paste.
This little birthday page was also started with plain white card stock, with a spritz onf paint as the background and added my embellishments from there.

I also had a couple of little challenges set for me by my friend Tiff Firth, and these are the results. I was to complete a scrap page on an A4 size page rather than the large ones that i usually do. :)

I wouldn't call these my favorite, but i did complete the challenge so I am happy, thanks Tiff xx
